1. I am new to the world of websites, is there anything I need to do?
Tell me what you want in a website. Provide me with all the details, information and pictures you can. If you already have a domain name, then we're ready to start. If not, I will work with you to pick the perfect name that is available for your needs. Then leave the web design and building to me! I will then work with you to build and design your website using a very reliable hosting company. I will even submit your site to all the major search engines for you.
2. Do I have any influence over the look and feel of the site?
Yes, you do. This is your site. You'll supply input as to what you are looking for as well as any text and images you want added. I may add certain images and logos ourselves, but I work alongside you and let you have the final say on the look. We may sit together and look at websites that have the look you want, or show you templates we have built, and/or past websites I have built, to find what the right direction for your site is. It's important to us that I build the site that YOU desire.
3. Can I make any changes once the website is finished?
Firstwebcall will not charge for any very minor changes after the site is built. Any major changes including new pages added will be charged at a very reasonable rate, usually around £10 an hour. If you are a local business near to me, I can for a small charge load the pages into your p.c and teach you how to make your own minor changes to your site.
4. Why should I choose Firstwebcall?
I pride myself on being able to help individuals and small businesses add their first presence on the web without the high costs that other website designers and builders may quote. As I work from home I have smaller overheads than the bigger companies and are therefore able to keep our prices down. I provide great customer service and a professional looking website. I don't use expensive, flashy templates, but do provide a clean, professional look that's friendly to your website visitors and search engines alike. Most companys do not optimize sites once built and if they do they will charge a lot more for the service. I have good experience on how to make sure that people actually find your site in the search engines once built. This does take some work, but again it is included in the price.
5. How do I get a quote?
Use the link quote and fill out the form or you can email me at info@firstwebcall.com I do not spam you or put any pressure on you once you have enquired. If you decide I am not for you, then you can simply move on. If you decide that I am for you, then you will pay a £75 non-refundable deposit to get started. You pay the outstanding amount once you are happy with the finished look of the site. After full payment is received your site will go live on the internet.
6. How do I stay in contact through the process of the site being built?
A face to face meeting is very rare and most of the communication is done through email or on the phone. This also keeps my expenses, and therefore my costs to you, down. I keep you up to date with the look of the site by sending you screenshots as it is being developed. I will want your input from these as to look, text and overall feel. This is YOUR website.
7. How long will my website take?
Again this depends on the size of the project. Although I cannot give you a definite time frame, a basic site should be able to have your approval and go live on the web within a couple weeks. Of course this is a partnership and I can only work on our end when you have all the available information to provide me.
